Body armor and helmets have to go through stringent protection class tests during development, quality assurance and certification.

The following requirements are important for the test and measurement setup:

  • Covering various calibers by only one universal weapon setup
    • ‚one size fits all‘
    • With remote firing of course – for best user safety
  • Highly accurate impact of projectiles
    • Impact points according test standards must be hit very accurately
    • Bullets hit at right angle – without any tumbeling
  • Variable measurement setup to comply with various test standards, e.g.
    • VPAM BSW 2006 and VPAM APR 2006
    • NIJ Standard-0101.06 and NIJ Standard 0106.01
    • STANAG 2920
    • MIL-STD 662
